In today’s world, where we are able to obtain almost any kind of information with two clicks tops, it is hard to get excited about things.  Let us imagine living in, say, 1938, when the cult of comic book art superheroes as a mass medium was born with the release of Action Comics#1.

 Trading cards date back to the late 1800s, with a type of baseball card made of a cloth material began to appear in 1887. These cards were handmade, which made them very rare and expensive to obtain. The first manufactured cards began to appear in 1902 in cigarette and tobacco packages.
